Newton's Third Law and the Death of Wisdom - Secularisms Sin is No Sin: "Some call it karma while others use the more folksy phrase “what goes around, comes around” but by any other name it is still best summarized by the words of the Apostle Paul who said “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (Gal 6:7)
The results of ignoring the laws of reciprocation are evident all around us but perhaps in our hurry up world no one has the time or the inclination to give it any serious thought. The Bible warns that ignoring the simple rule of sowing and reaping will be part and parcel of the undoing of any generation but especially the last generation. The X generation may seem at home in an omega world where life is fast and cheap but the worst aspect of the rule of sowing and reaping is that if repeatedly ignored it destroys the growing field; that field can be a person, a community, a nation or ultimately the entire world."

American Politicians Winning Hearts and Minds while Losing Souls
American Politicians Winning Hearts and Minds while Losing Souls: "It is no secret that one of the most powerful tools in public speaking is humor. No matter how glum the subject matter if the speaker can get the audience laughing at some anecdotal story, joke or wisecrack the crowd relaxes and the rest is a piece of cake. Hillary Clinton is a seasoned speaker who craftily used the humor factor on the Jay Leno Show Thursday evening April 3, 2008.
As Hillary took the stage on the Leno show which was taped in Burbank California Kevin Eubanks cranked his band up to play the theme from the famed “Rocky” movies. Touting her as the underdog who can still shape up to knock em all dead it started the segment off on a light note. Hillary raised the level of hilarity by saying “It is so great to be here, I was so worried I wasn't going to make it. I was pinned down by sniper fire'"

The Egg Is Empty!
The Egg Is Empty!: "My kids love a good Easter egg hunt. And, I’ll admit, I love to give them one. I get such joy out of stuffing the eggs, hiding them, then standing by (and maybe video-taping) as my kids go traipsing through the house, searching for the eggs with their initials on them (I’ve got to make it fair by giving them each the same number of eggs to find!). It’s especially fun to see one of them get so close to an egg but not quite see it. Sometimes I even have to play the “hot and cold” game if they grow frustrated.
Once all of the eggs are finally found, the kids pile them up on the table for the best part of all: opening them! After all, who wants to sit and look at a basket full of plastic eggs? It’s the inside that counts, right? Most of the eggs are filled with candy, a bit of change or, their favorite, dollar bills."

The Christian’s Secret
The Christian’s Secret: "The book and dvd “The Secret” has become popular with people I work with lately. I viewed the dvd and was disappointed to find out that it really is no secret. I’ve been hearing this stuff most of my life. Maybe it is because I was raised as a Christian.
Yes, there is certainly truth to it. There are “spiritual” laws in place in the universe, just like there are physical laws such as gravity. I like to call them Laws of Faith. “The Secret” calls them Laws of Attraction. It has to do with positive thinking and belief in something good happening. Norman Vincent Peale wrote extensively on the subject years ago. It was called the Power of Positive Thinking. The opposite also works. I guess you could call it the power of negative thinking."

The Unpardonable Sin
The Unpardonable Sin: "Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation' - because they said, 'He has an unclean spirit.' (Mark 3:28-30)
'Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.' (Matthew 12:31-32)"
